Frequently Asked Questions

  • No. Kids are encouraged to try all activities, but participation is flexible. We understand that every child has different interests, comfort levels, and energy throughout the day. Alternative activities are always available so every child can stay engaged, active, and have fun.

  • Please send your child with:

    • Comfortable athletic clothing and closed-toe athletic shoes

    • A labeled water bottle

    • A nut-free snack for each half-day session

    • Any necessary medications that have been coordinated with staff in advance

  • That's perfectly okay, and actually quite common. Flathead Sports Collective was created with all activity levels in mind, from those who love competitive sports to those who simply enjoy trying new things and spending time with friends. Our focus is on participation, confidence-building, teamwork, and having fun.

  • Yes. Families may register for both sessions based on their family's needs.

    If registering for both sessions, please note that children will need to bring a packed lunch and will remain supervised during the transition between sessions.

  • Yes. Siblings are welcome to enroll in the same session. Children are grouped primarily by age (8–10 and 11–14) to create the best experience for everyone, but siblings will still share the overall camp environment. Plus, families receive a 15% sibling discount when registering more than one child.

  • Activities may vary throughout the summer, but may include:

    • Basketball

    • Volleyball

    • Outdoor soccer

    • Baseball and softball

    • Flag-Football

    • Turf games

    • Disc golf

    • Cornhole

    • Spikeball

    • Dodgeball

    • Chill time activities such as air hockey & multi-sport simulator

    • Team challenges and cooperative games

    • Fun Friday - big screen movies, STEAM activities, and more!

    Our goal is to provide variety so kids stay engaged, discover new interests, and enjoy the summer.

  • Here’s a sample morning session schedule:

    8:30–8:45 am Check-In + Warm-Up Games

    8:45–9:15 am Featured Sport Rotation
    (Volleyball, Basketball, Soccer, etc.)

    9:15–9:45 am Team Challenge or Cooperative Game
    (Relay races, capture the flag, obstacle courses, partner challenges)

    9:45–10:15 am Cage Track Exploration
    (Baseball/Softball, Football Toss, Soccer Skills)

    10:15–10:30 am Snack + Water Break

    10:30–11:00 am Choice Rotation
    (Kids choose from basketball, volleyball, turf games, disc golf, cornhole, Spikeball, etc.)

    11:00–11:30 am Creative Play & Enrichment
    (Team-building activities, scavenger hunts, leadership games, guest instructors, crafts, sports trivia, or movement challenges)

    11:30 am–12:00 pm Open Choice Play
    (Disc golf basket, cornhole, Spikeball, dodgeball, turf games, etc.)

    12:00–12:25 pm Camp-Wide Game or Challenge of the Day

    12:25–12:30 pm Cool Down + Pick-Up

    Activities may rotate by day, weather, group size, and age mix. Kids are encouraged to try each rotation, but participation is flexible so every child can stay engaged, active, and have fun.

  • To ensure safety, supervision, and meaningful engagement, enrollment is intentionally limited to 25 kids per AM or PM session. Staffing is based on group size, ages, and activities, with additional support added as needed.

    All staff and volunteers are background checked. Staff are also trained in CPR and concussion safety.
